there is a product called a scarecrow…It is a sensored sprinkler….when it senses movement it gives a loud blast of water and scares away many different types of animals…Works well with rabbits and deer too….But may only be available in Canada….not too sure..I am in B.c. if that helps.
Also you can put smelly bars of buckstore soap into the toes of knee high nylons and hang them in the trees and bushes…It smells like people and it doesnt wash away in the rain…But instead intensifies the scent…and they last a long time.

Armadillo Elimination – Keeping Armadillos out of Your Yard
In some southern areas of the United States, armadillos have become a real nuisance to home owners. They dig through and tear up gardens while digging for food. usually grubs and other small animals living in the soil. Armadillos can also cause problems by moving into your garden to live, digging holes that serve as their homes. These holes stink. (Armadillos are not noted for personal hygiene. The holes also go under plants, ruining root systems, under the house, possibly causing problems for foundations, and destroying pipes. And there is nothing more aggravating to a gardener than to be trimming his or her shrubs and step into an armadillo hole filled with rain water and mosquitoes.
So how can you eliminate them.
There are several things most home owners do.
1. Spray your gardens and lawns with insecticides as you normally would, hoping to keep down the amount of food in the soil. This does not always worry.
2. So the next thing to try is to fill the armadillo’s hole. This also does not always work as the armadillos seem to love to return to their former dwelling.
3. Get a live trap. Place it near the hole, in a shady spot against your house. You do not need bait. The armadillos will wander in, looking for food, on their own. Then once trap drive them far out into the country, away from other people’s property and let them go. The only problems with this approach are: it is time consuming to drive them; they stink and so will your car, so use lots of plastic and newspaper; they relatives, friends, and neighbors just move right in to the vacancy, so expect to be doing this for quite a while.
4. Then try this. Most armadillo holes seem to be located behind low hanging shrubs. Cut back the shrubs. Eliminate the shade and also any low hanging branches. Leave the hole in full daylight for a few days. Then fill it in. This seems to have some effect, although eventually the armadillos will return.
5. Do step 4 and then, gather human hair clippings and scatter them around the now filled in hole. Beat these hair clippings into the soil, or better still, put some of them into the hole as you fill it. The smell of human hair seems to discourage armadillos from returning for a little longer.
6. The most effective thing I have found to keep armadillos digging holes to live in is also the strangest, so be forewarned. To eliminate their digging homes, do step 5, that is cut back all shrubs to make the area around the hole less inviting for armadillos. Then fill the hole. But before you fill the hole, collect some urine in a bottle, and as you are filling the armadillo hole, pour a little urine in with the dirt. Finish filling the hole and pour lots more on the hole and surrounding area, especially along the house on both sides of the now filled in hole. Then depending on rain fall, you will need to do this about every 6 months or so. This has kept the armadillos out of that area for over two years.

You have armadillos in your yard! Cool! I visited Texas and couldn’t find any! But anyway! Cover the holes that they live in with cement! Plus kill them if you see anymore! But you should know that they are deaf and blind!
