How do i catch an armadillo?

It is in my back yard under my deck, at night it comes out and digs big holes in my yard.

  4. It’s difficult. An armadillo will not intentionally go into a live trap, no matter what kind of food or bait you put in there. If you know the spot it comes out from under your deck, you can place a trap in that area and, because armadillos are visually impaired, it might wander in…. if you’re lucky…

  5. We had one, had 2 holes to get under the house. I placed food in the opening a few days in a row for it to get used to the idea of a free meal. Then I got 2 have a heart traps from animal control, placed them right up to the side of the house where it comes in and out of, put in there leaves from the yard so it didn’t seem so out of place and a hand full of that free meal it took a couple of days but we got him, called animal control and they took it away.

  6. Wait til it is out, then run out and throw a box over it. Use a shovel to dig underneath it as it will dig in trying to get away, Then turn over the box so it cant keep digging. Then load it up and take it to a neighbor’s that you don’t like.
