Give it time to get used to you, never pick it up always place your hand in its enclosure and allow it to climb on you. If you pick it up it becomes frightened and panics then you have to start again, always let the lizard dictate the pace.

Maybe you could get another one. if not, take some time to play with it. is it shy towards you or others?
