They are occasionally seen in Oklahoma in winter…see link. It’s more likely you saw a baldy than an African fish eagle!

No other bird in usa resembles an adult bald eagle. an immature golden eagle I guess could be mistaken for a young baldy before it get the famous white head

You absolutely do have bald eagles in Oklahoma. They appear on the official birding checklist for the state: http://www.okbirds.org/2006_obrc_ok_checklist.pdf

Bald (never could figure out why they call them bald) eagles have been present in Oklahoma for thousands of years.
Migration of the armadillo as far north as Oklahoma is a fairly recent event.
