Job: septic tanks or roadkills…?

… I have a job cleaning septic tanks all day but I might be able to get another job picking up dead animals off the roads across the entire county. Do you think this will be a step up or possibly even worse? It is in the dead of summer and a lot of those dead dogs, racoons, horses, deer and armadillos have their guts splattered all across the road and are crawling with maggots. Of course I could keep the really fresh kills and cook them and it would be nice to come home after a hard day of pumping septic tanks and not have all the neighborhood dogs gag and puke when I get near them. The pay is almost exactly the same so, any thoughts?

I say go with the roadkills if that doesn’t
bother you. Personally I wouldn’t be able
    to do it.

  6. well basically your comparing crap with crap but aleast with the roadkill you would get to go to different places instead of the same septic tanks and all that! But it depends on what you think you could handle! personally I would clean the tanks just cause I’m a sap when it comes to animals. Deers and stuff like that not so much cause that’s good eating as long as is its not roadkill! but cats and dogs stuff like that makes me sad!

you’ve got to be kidding. Eat roadkill? Eugh………well, if it’s across the country and you have kids i wouldn’t recommend it, but if you don’t and want to go and see the country’s biggest yarn ball or piece of cheese go for it. Enjoy the opossum pie.

  8. Maybe the roadkill assignment would be better. Maybe you could try it on condition that if you don’t like it, you could return to your old job. You would have to have help with the large animals unless you have a tractor with a bucket. Good luck.

  11. Go for the road kill job. You can earn extra money selling it off for dog food, and save money by eating the best of it yourself. Bon appetit.
