Native California Art?

When I travel, I like to purchase an object that I can put in my house that reminds me of the time I spent in a state. My question is, what object could I purchase that when people come to my house they can say without me telling them, you must have got that in California. For example, when I went to Louisiana, I purchased a voodoo doll, or when I went to Texas it was a stuffed Armadillo, or New Hampshire a piece of Granite Sculpture. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Native Californians were of Mexican descent. Pottery is a traditional artifact. Cacti are good project. Dessert creatures are interesting too. Vaquero garments and accessories make great souveniers.

  2. A bear carved with a chainsaw out of a redwood tree stump.

EVERY fricken souvenier shop in the boonies will have, at least, one of these monstrosities out front.

A nicely framed and matted photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge will look much nicer in your living room.
