Just moved to a different climate, and I saw an animal I couldn’t identify the other day. It was grey (? it was night time) with a white face. I would guess it was about 10 inches tall, and had the silhouette of an armadillo (arched back). It had a short tail that was long enough to see, but did not touch the ground. What was it?
I live in Southern California by the way.

I was probably a ‘dillo. You’re from the North, aren’t you? When I moved from New York into Hell—I mean Florida—we saw lots of armadillos. They all over the South, so if you didn’t see an armadillo that night, you probably will soon enough–on the side of the road, at least. =(
