While at the Cleveland Metro Zoo with my son we saw Armadillos in love. This was surely something that was a once in a lifetime experience and I would have never known how much a male Armadillo was packing until I saw this… Also notice my 3 year old son banging on the glass and commenting, “Armadillos like their food.” I’m still not sure what he thought they were doing but it surely was not eating food.
funny cat and armadillo dance to Beyonce Single ladies armadillos are the only Mammal that does natural Cloning and produces quintuplets. Thus; All 4 litter mates are always the same sex. They can also delay implantation of the oocyte (so be pregers for months and then decide to have the babies.)
I’ve seen many animal burrows, and I’ve always wanted to know what hides in them, especially because they could be armadillos! But many times I’ve waited and seen nothing, and many times I’ve wanted to just take a shovel and dig til’ I find the animal, but I don’t know if this would be the right thing to do.
So I wanted to know, what is the best way to get animals out of their burrows? If I just dig and destroy their house, would this be really bad to them, or can they dig another one quickly and this wouldn’t stress them too much? Oh, and we don’t have traps around here.

i am allowed to get a pet, but i don’t know what kind to get. millions of different animals run through my mind, besides dogs and cats, such as robo hamsters, chameleons, hedgehogs, and even, armadillos. lol. but i have a little aquarium, but not too small. it used to have 2 rats living in there. So does anyone have any cool ideas on a small pet i could get? oh, and i live in florida, if that helps a little.
also, i can afford a pet up to the price of 35 bucks. not much, but i mean if it is really exotic i will be wlling to pay an arm and a leg. i have thought about bearded dragons, and my friend has one, but their way too expensive.
this sounds strange, but no matter what kind of hamster i ever pet or hold, hates me and bites me. i dont come off as a threat either.. and im very calm.
