For us, it’s opossum, and armadillos……….poor things…….:(
We have a wooded area across from our house that a developer has recently purchased to build townhouses on. I am ok with the building that will take place, but should I be concerned about what kind of animals might be coming out of the woods when their homes are displaced once the land starts being cleared? We already had one problem with armadillos that I assumed came from there. We took care of them, but I’m a little nervous about anything else that may need a place to go and decide that mine and my neighbors’ yards are it. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
I found 4 baby armadillo’s in my front yard and followed them to an opening under my bedroom floor. I thought their mother would be close to the area I found them but, I’m sorry to say that I found their mommy on the road.I’m not planning on making them pets but I am going to help them survive so I need to know everything I can. I’ve talked with my vet, wildlife officials and I have almost everything I need to know how to help them except one thing, I still can’t find out how long it takes for the baby’s to open their eyes…do you know?
I just need to know how old they are to insure that I’m doing the correct thing for each stage of life so they will get the food they need to stay well and grow strong. I’ll give you a yankee dime if you’re the first to help! LOL
