why do dogs love to roll around in road killed varmints such as armadillo’s?
Last night my dog attacked a three banded armadillo in Texas. Armadillos can carry leprosy. Look it up if you doubt me. Could my dog be at risk for contracting the disease? I know humans can contract leprosy from armadillos but could my dog? Or could he be a carrier for the disease and thereby expose my family to danger?

will dogs carry leprosy after they roll in dead armadillo?
and causing kidney and liver failure in the humans… but the dogs don’t get sick. They said that they are getting it from Armadillos and Raccoons urine. I don’t know what it’s called but there is a vaccine for it that I want to get my dog as there are a lot of these animals around my house! If you know the name of it please let me know!!!!
The person who told me about it found the name Leptospirosis…. they said there are out breaks of it where I live (Houston).
Heres a link I found
