We have armadillos that have been coming in our yard and when I let my dog out he goes by where they have been and starts foaming at the mouth….what is causing this??

How often should I feed my lizard…??
A friend gave me this gorgeous little lizard but now I’m stuck and don’t know how often to feed it…He is about 7in long including his tail and a few stripes…I thought he was a Armadillo Lizard but after looking at pictures on-line I realize that he is not…he is very friendly with me as long as I pet him underneath his mouth…My real question is how often should I feed him…and what else besides crickets should he eat?? Can I feed him lettuce?? Worms??
my armadillo lizard doesnt put his tail in his mouth as a defense he just runs around is it becaues he is smal
he is young small and shy
