Why Doesn’t Turtle Wax Work On Armadillos?
Yesterday was such a nice, dreary, boring Sunday. My neighbour girl was being a pest and kept wanting something to do, so I let her give Amanda, my pet armadillo, a makeover with Turtle Wax.
Now I can’t get the blasted stuff to come off. It worked fine on the lobsters. Poor Amanda hasn’t come out of her shell all day, not even to eat or use the sandbox. She can be such a Streisand! So why doesn’t Turtle Wax work on Amanda, and how can I cheer her up? I don’t know if she’s moping or moulting. I fear she’s suicidal.
What kind of tires would you recommend for commuting in a rural setting?
My commute is about 18 miles one way. I used to use Specialized Armadillo’s and I really liked them so I’m looking for something comparable.

Why does a dog….?
roll around ins something dead?? Sunday, my two chihuahuas found an old dead armadillo and rolled around in it. When they came in the house—you better believe they got baths!! I was just curious as to why in the world a dog would do that???
Has anyone ever heard of racoons eating bromeliads?
Something is actually CHEWING UP bromeliads, tearing out the center part and eating the soft inside & bottom part. At first I thought maybe snails or slugs because Ive never heard of anything eating bromeliads before. But you can see teeth marks. The same something rooted up a crinum lilly in same area of garden but didnt eat it. I know armadillos will root stuff up but they do not eat plants. The garden is in a rural scrub area so I also thought it might be hogs. But set a trap last night with lettuce and overripe tomatos and caught a raccoon. I still cant believe the raccoon is responsible for the bromeliads though, and I bet removing him from my yard will not solve this problem. I think he might have just been unlucky to pass by last night. He certainly looked innocent LOL. Any suggestions?
