Aggresive Baby Jones Armadillo Lizard?

I was told at the petshop that they are friendly nice little lizards, and they enjoy being held. My Armadillo lizard is a baby, about 2 inches long. thats including the tail. But he is turning out to be a bad boy. I really dont know if it is a boy or not. but i have had him for almost a month now, and it hasnt shed or anything but it is becoming aggresive, he is in a ten gallon tank right now by him self, and gets PLENTY of pinhead crickets, but the last couple times i have handled him to move him and clean the tank, he has opened his mouth and hissed and yesterday he actually nipped me. He has the right temprature and is feed well, and he is in a room where the comotion is very minimal. Will he grow out of it or will he keep becoming more aggresive? someone please help. I have heard that if they bite when they are full grown they bite so hard they break their own jaw, I DONT WANT THIS, not for my sake but his. Please help! he is very , and very active if he dont know u r there

How often should I feed my lizard…??

A friend gave me this gorgeous little lizard but now I’m stuck and don’t know how often to feed it…He is about 7in long including his tail and a few stripes…I thought he was a Armadillo Lizard but after looking at pictures on-line I realize that he is not…he is very friendly with me as long as I pet him underneath his mouth…My real question is how often should I feed him…and what else besides crickets should he eat?? Can I feed him lettuce?? Worms??

Yesterday I saw a funny animal…can you help me identify it?

Just moved to a different climate, and I saw an animal I couldn’t identify the other day. It was grey (? it was night time) with a white face. I would guess it was about 10 inches tall, and had the silhouette of an armadillo (arched back). It had a short tail that was long enough to see, but did not touch the ground. What was it?
I live in Southern California by the way. :)
