Does anyone know a type of insect that looks like a armadillo?

One of our renters found a dead insect under their bed and they think it’s an armadillo. Now we live in southern Illinois so I highly doubt it can be one. It is only an inch long, but it does look like an armadillo so I was just wondering if anyone knew what it could be? I’ve searched the internet and I haven’t found anything yet. What type of bug or retile could thins thing be??Thanks!
This thing has what looks like a stinger. It could possibly be a stiff tail…not really sure but I know it’s not a Roly Poly. It’s face is shaped like a mouse with a really pointy nose…hope that helps a little more.

Does anyone know what type of bugs my daughters are finding? They are…?

about 1/4″ long and look like little armadillos. We live in the Northeast and these bugs seem to live underneath rocks. My daughters like to catch them for their bug jars, but I’d like to do some research to see what they eat to keep them alive. Does anyone know the name of these bugs? We’ve nicknamed them rolly-pollies, potato bugs and armadillo bugs.
Yes, they sometimes curl up into little balls when touched. Almost like that’s their defense-mechanism.

In my basement, there’s a windowsill. And outside of it, there’s this wild animal, I’m guessing. It has an armadillo face shape, long noise. And it kind of looks like a porcupine, but it has long hair, not needles whatever you call them. And it also has a mouse tail. You know… long and hairless. Its hair is white. what type of lizard should i get?

i want a cool looking lizard like a green basilisk http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/1239/10140482.JPG
but it needs to be okay with me handling it so i can take it out of its cage when i want to. i also want it to be colorful like a rainbow ameivas lizard http://www.specieslist.com/images/honduras/fauna/herps/Cuero-Salado_Lizard_03.gif

so basically i just want one that will be okay with handling and stand out a little bit more than other lizards. it doesn’t matter to me if it’s active or not, but it needs to be 1.5 feet or smaller.
nope not a first lizard. i have a bearded dragon, have had a milk snake, and a frog.
and i’ve taken care of my sisters gecko plenty of times before also! =)
